What it is
NordVPN is a virtual private network (VPN) service. It encrypts your internet traffic and routes it through its own servers, which helps protect your connection on public Wi-Fi in cafés, hotels and airports.
Who it's for
People who often use public Wi-Fi, travel, or simply want an extra layer of privacy online.
Our experience
We have not reviewed NordVPN in depth. Check the current plans and the money-back terms on their site before you buy.
Honest downsides
- Longer plans are cheapest per month but are paid up front.
- A VPN can slow your connection slightly.
- Some streaming and banking sites block or question VPN connections.
